RHS Lindley Library-inspired designs highlight, birds, allotments and tools.
The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has announced the forthcoming launch of a range of RHS bone china mugs from Churchill China, a leading manufacturer of high-quality ceramic tableware. This is the latest RHS range from Churchill and continues its long-standing and hugely successful licensing agreement with the RHS.
The new launch consists of a contemporary gift set of four mugs with illustrations of classic garden tools, a set of two stacking mugs with the allotment as its theme and an assortment of classic bone china Royale mugs featuring images on the theme of Curious Birds.
The artwork for the products and packaging has been adapted by Churchill from artwork supplied by the RHS Lindley Library, the world’s finest collection of botanical art containing more than 25,000 superb images. Churchill’s design team has adapted the images chosen to fit the range’s different ceramic shapes and appealing packaging, reflecting the story of the artwork in the product.
The range will officially be launched at the Churchill China stand (Hall 9, D20-E21) at the Spring Fair home and gift trade show held at the NEC Birmingham from 4-8 February 2018. The products will also appear in Churchill’s spring/summer preview brochure throughout January, when pre-orders can be placed.
In the UK the range will be made available though Churchill’s core retail partners, including independent retailers, small gift shops, home interior stores and department stores. Each of these categories will also be offering online sales. Churchill also has a vast range of export customers in the US and Europe.
The products are expected to appeal to a wide range of potential customers, offering something for everyone with a love of the outdoors, from the character-based designs that inspire the Curious Birds items to the more contemporary tools and allotment-inspired designs.
Churchill China, a supplier of quality tabletop products for over 200 years, is a long-established partner of the RHS supplying a number of attractive china ranges including RHS vintage garden mugs stacking, traditional and fine bone china mugs and dinnerware. Churchill has also supplied ranges of placemats and coasters.
Dannielle Birch, marketing communications manager, Churchill China Ltd, says: “The combination of the RHS Lindley Library artwork and our own ceramic expertise has produced some truly delightful mugs. The result has been some stunning vintage designs that will last – and be treasured – for a lifetime.”
