Cplg Italia brings ‘Felix the Cat’ brand at Pitti Uomo

The Italian designer Alessandro Enriquez reinterprets the brand of Felix The Cat in a new fashion collection that will be presented at the 93rd edition of Pitti Uomo, the leading international fashion trade show.

Thanks to the collaboration between CPLG Italia and designer Alessandro Enriquez, Felix The Cat will be among the protagonists of Pitti Uomo (Florence, 9-11 January 2018).

The theme of this edition of Pitti Uomo is Cinema. So could the first star of animated films miss the next January event? Obviously no!

Born in 1919 by a team of talented animators including Otto Messmer and Joe Oriolo, Felix The Cat appeared in over 100 films between the 1920s and 1930s. Today, Felix is considered by the teen-young adult market to be an authentic international pop icon that has become a lifestyle brand, thanks to prestigious collaborations in the fashion world of which it was the protagonist, among which are Castlebajac Paris, Coach, Scotch & Soda and more recent Fyodor Golan.

On the occasion of Pitti Uomo, Felix The Cat relives thanks to the ironic and Italian touch of Alessandro Enriquez on different garments including sweatshirts, t-shirts, knitwear and shirts, for an irreverent and joyful capsule collection. The collection will be presented as an exclusive preview at the 10×10 ANITALIANTHEORY stand – a brand created by Enriquez himself and of which he is also a stylist – and will be in store starting from September 2018.

Enriquez is also working on a limited edition t-shirts collection, which will be sold exclusively at the Milan boutique during the week of Valentine’s Day and whose incomes will be donated to charity in favor of Oxfam.
